Our new space in the basement turned out exactly the way we wanted it. We weren’t involved in the renovation at all. Jeff worked at our house while we were away at work and that was the way I wanted it to be. I relied on his expertise and valued his input. Actually, the new space worked out better than we had imagined it would be – we now use my downstairs more than the upstairs, I’m very happy with the job J & J General Contractors did and when the time comes to do another renovation I will be calling them again. So, on behalf of our family thanks again for helping us finish our extra space – the kids love it.

Everyone told us their renovation experience was horrible so we were prepared for the worst. Fortunately, our experience was exactly the opposite. We found J & J General Contractors to be extremely professional, attentive, meticulous, responsive and helpful. We appreciated that Jeff was a guest of the homeowner and acted accordingly. The job was completed on time. We would not think of doing any other project without J & J General Contractors.

We needed to have upstairs bathroom painted, but then when reviewing some other dissatisfactions with a previous painter's work, J & J General Contractors provided excellent advice and a plan for corrective action that was well within our budget. The upstairs bathroom was in dire need of repainting and required 3 coats to cover and correct the previous poor quality paint job. We had been dissatisfied with our previous choice of color and earlier paint job in the upstairs loft. J & J General Contractors were very clear about what needed to be done to correct the situation. The stairwell leading to the loft and the lower hallway were colors that we wanted to change, and Jeff suggested options for that. Once agreed upon, Jeff arrived and was meticulous about ensuring all furniture and carpeting were well protected prior to beginning work. He even covered the flooring and stairs leading into his work area to protect those areas. While the work was being done, we discussed a problem with nicks on the banister in the stairwell. He repainted that for us so it looks like new. All the work was done with high-quality paint and agreed-upon colors. He cleaned up after the painting was done and removed all of the masked areas. The final result is wonderful and we are extremely pleased with the quality of their workmanship and attention to very minute details.
In the past, I have always been reluctant to have someone else do interior painting because no-one has been able to meet my nit-picky, standards. J & J General Contractors exceeded my standard and we are extremely pleased with their work, the cost, and the added comfort to our home.
